• Bonding vs. Veneers

    on May 5th, 2018

As you get older, you’ll probably start to see your age in your teeth.  The straight white smile of your youth may gradually wear down, become discolored, chipped, or cracked.

Fortunately, there are ways to fix your teeth, but maybe you don’t know the best option for your situation. Dr. Jamsheed of Encino Dental Studio can help you plan the treatment that will have the best outcome for your smile!

Bonded Together

There are two popular treatments that can help refresh your smile. The first, bonding, has been around for a while, but that doesn’t mean it’s old fashioned! Using the newest resin material and high intensity light can provide a natural looking match for your teeth. Bonding provides an excellent cover and correction for uneven or chipped teeth.  It can even be used to fill excessive gaps!

A Glamorous Smile

However, when wear and tear of the years shows in your smile, there is sometimes too much damage to be fixed with simple bonding. Discoloration, malformation, chips, cracks, and spacing can all be corrected in one procedure. If your teeth are otherwise healthy, a great option to reclaim your smile is with veneers. They are applied over your natural teeth and form a type of protective barrier, though that is not their primary goal. After taking impressions of your teeth and bite, we can create a custom set of veneers that will look like your natural teeth, only better!  Your Hollywood smile will be waiting for you in just a couple of weeks.
